It covers:
- Setting the clock
- Switching between MPH and km/h
- Resetting the trip meter
- Understanding speed accuracy limits
- Advanced speedometer calibration
- Reference manuals and diagrams
Start with the simple overview below, then continue for advanced tuning.
Simple Overview

- ADJ button = change values
- SET button = confirm / switch modes
- Hold ADJ → set the clock
- Hold SET → change MPH / km/h or reset trip
Everything else in this guide is optional fine‑tuning.

Display Speed Accuracy (Important)
The ONYX display cannot be perfectly accurate at all speeds with the stock hardware.
Key points:
- Accuracy only exists within a small speed range
- Adjusting Hertz shifts where that accurate range occurs
- You must choose whether accuracy favors low, mid, or high speed
- Factory settings aim for balanced accuracy across the full range
True real‑time accuracy would require:
- Wheel encoders
- Or GPS‑based measurement
In practice:
Ride based on comfort and conditions — not the last decimal on the screen.
Advanced: Speedometer Calibration
This section controls the speed sensor ratio only.
- Display password: 6610
Entering calibration mode
- Hold the power key to turn on the display
- Screen shows:
P‑0000- Tap to change digits (0–9)
- Hold to move to the next digit
Password results:
| Code | Result |
|---|---|
| 6610 | Speed ratio settings |
| 8810 | Clear cumulative data |
| 6810 | Cumulative settings |
If the password is incorrect, the display returns to P‑0000.
If you change the frequency reference away from 60 km/h, the display will automatically recalculate metric parameters.
