Choose an 80V replacement battery confirmed for your bike, then check the enclosure, mounting, cover clearance, electrical connections, and charger before ordering. Matching nominal voltage or capacity alone does not establish fitment.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

  • Exact bike and battery revision.
  • Battery length, width, and height, including protruding connectors and handles.
  • Mounting arrangement and clearance under the battery cover.
  • Cable routing and room for the connector to seat fully.
  • Pack voltage, controller compatibility, and the charger supplied or required.
  • Written supplier confirmation that the complete pack fits your bike.

For ONYX batteries, I only recommend ONYX Motors, AMORGE, and Northeast Battery Systems. That recommendation does not make every pack offered suitable for this installation.

Factory Battery Connection

ONYX documents a QS9 anti-spark discharge connector for the factory 80V bike. Its support guide identifies incomplete QS9 seating as a common cause of Error Code 19. Follow the manufacturer’s connection check rather than substituting a connector based on appearance. See the ONYX 80V connection guide .

The earlier battery article called this QS8; that description has been corrected to match the manufacturer documentation.

Dimensions Still Need Confirmation

The reviewed material does not establish a complete set of internal battery-compartment dimensions. ONYX’s rider-fitment guide covers the bike’s exterior and ergonomics; it is not a battery-tray drawing. Confirm the actual pack and compartment measurements with the supplier before buying a different enclosure.
