ONYX Battery BMS App

The ONYX battery does not have a physical power switch. Instead, use the battery BMS app to turn the battery on and off when connecting or disconnecting it from the ONYX RCR. The app also provides detailed battery data, including status updates, balancing metrics, power output, voltage readings, and usage logs.

While the previous generation of the ONYX battery allows for advanced configuration of the battery management system (BMS), it is strongly advised not to change any BMS settings. Modifying these settings could damage the battery, void the warranty, and create safety hazards. The stock BMS settings are highly effective-I’ve achieved over 21,500 watts without any adjustments.

Battery BMS App Benefits

  • Real-Time Battery Performance Monitoring: Access detailed battery performance readings.

  • Temperature Tracking: Monitor MOSFET and internal temperature for safe operation.

  • Battery Health Check: Keep tabs on the battery’s status at any time.

  • Remote Control: Turn the battery on or off with ease.

  • Historical Data Logging: Record and review the battery’s performance history through detailed charts.

  • Error Detection and Support: Quickly identify issues and access logs for troubleshooting.

Outlet Timer with Remote Control

While you can leave your charger plugged in overnight, it’s always a good idea to use an outlet timer-just in case you forget!
