ONYX RCR Battery Balancing
It’s super easy to figure out which charger you need for battery balancing. Starting with the ONYX 41Ah and pretty much every aftermarket battery out there, you don’t need a balance-compatible charger-the BMS takes care of balancing on its own.
But the ONYX RCR 23Ah battery is a different story. It does require a balance-compatible charger that supports constant voltage charging (not to be confused with trickle charging) for proper BMS balancing. Variable chargers won’t work for this.
