Sneak peek for now-full post drops June 2025 after more testing with the ONYX crew.

Fardriver Efficiency

Forget the hype-Fardrivers aren’t magic efficiency machines. True efficiency is a full-team effort: motor, battery, and design. What Fardrivers do bring is power-think higher top speeds and better performance.

The real win? Value. At $190, a Fardriver, more speed, more power, less cash. What’s not to love?

Fardriver Prices

72680 - $180.00 84680 - $255.00 96680 - $272.00

The Fardriver 680 is the ONYX RCR favorite-it drops right in with no mods needed. Paired with a Dedcell harness for the easiest plug-and-play setup.

Just make sure your battery can handle 200–400A DC line current. Skip the phase math—focus on volts: 72V, 84V, or 96V. Higher voltage = higher top speed and future-proofing your ride.

Fardriver 680 Voltage

Here’s the fun scoop: Higher voltage (96V > 84V > 72V) means you need fewer amps to get the same power-so 96V at 250A hits just as hard as 72V at 350A. That said, 250A is already wild, even if a 96V FarDriver caps you there on a 72V battery.

The 680 fits like a champ-tuck it inside where the stock Kelly sits, or mount it out back under the seat, right in front of the frame’s down tube. Inside or outside, it’s ready to party.
