Battery Charge XLR to XT60 Adapters

When using a XLR to XT60 charge adapter, always adhere to the maximum amperage rating of the weakest connection. For XLR connector adapters, this is 10 amps,

XLR Extension Cable

Feed this XLR extension through the right-hand side hole at the top of the ONYX RCR’s body to make your charge port accessible outside the bike. This setup protects your battery’s original XLR connector from exposure to the elements.

Cables

Use the “20 AWG” wire to install turn signals and other electrical accessories. For higher power headlights, opt for “18 AWG” wires. For electrical projects requiring a more powerful DC to DC converter, use “16 AWG” wires.

PVC cable insulation remains flexible over time without hardening or cracking. It is resistant to corrosion, impact, abrasion, weathering, and static electricity. However, it has lower heat resistance compared to silicone cables.

Silicone-insulated cables, on the other hand, offer superior flexibility, high heat resistance, and resistance to oils and solvents. They are more susceptible to damage, wear less effectively than PVC leads, and generate static electricity.

Shrink Tubing

Use 15mm shrink tubing for an XT60 connector, 30mm shrink tubing for a QS8 connector, and 12.7mm shrink tubing for 8 AWG and 6 AWG cables. For 12-22 AWG wires, 6.4mm and 9.5mm shrink tubing are suitable.

Install foot pegs directly below the rear suspension. You’ll find a hole located just beneath the lower rear suspension mount for this purpose.

Phone Mount

This handlebar phone mount can be positioned at the center of the handlebar. To install it, you’ll need to remove the four handlebar mount screws. Cut the thick spacer in half and place it on the top half of the mount clamp. Then, cut the thin spacer in half and use it on the bottom half of the mount clamp. If necessary, place the other half of the thin spacer on the top of the mount clamp along with the thick spacer. Be sure to apply Thread Locker to both the mount screws and the four handlebar screws for a secure fit.
